Glimpses of the Labrador's Soul with Mel Hammonds

I first caught glimpse of Mel Hammonds, of Fetching Images Photography, on Instagram and I just had to get Mel to Showcase her pictures on It’s a Lab Thing. Her Love for Photography started at 8 years old with her first camera and since then has turned into an accomplished photographer. It is awesome to see how she manages to reach through the lens and reveal the Soul of her furry subjects.

Mel is an active member of HeARTS Speak, a community of artists and photographers that lend their time and lens to helping Dog Rescues all over. They understand the importance that Good Uplifting Images will get a Labrador or Dog Rescued quicker than those with very poor images. It’s a Lab Thing absolutely Believes in that too!! Mel is also a contributing photographer for Life+Dogs Magazine and was recently featured in this month’s issue with The Biggest Loser’s Bob Harper. She also lends even more of her time to her Rescue of Choice, Pup Squad Animal Rescue, based out of Houston.

It’s a Lab Thing wants to thank Mel for being in our Showcase and Sharing her magnificent interpretation of the Labrador’s Soul. We can’t wait to have her back again.
