Rain, Rain Rain …. What a perfect two weeks it has been and a blessing that these two  products found their way inside the Laboratory. Lets first introduce the Soggy Doggy Doormat. I came across this product and just had to check it out.

If you are like me as a LABparent, you know there are many things that we share in common with having LABbabies. One of those common things is getting into the water, getting wet, having to take a bath, go potty when it is raining out or just got out and get their paws a little dirty. Well maybe not a “little”. The second thing we all share in common is that our Labradors want to come back inside where all the love is.

I could see from our poll is that most people grab a bunch of old towels.

Soggy Doggy Door Mat & Shammy Review

Well this is were we bring in the Soggy Doggy Doormat and Soggy Doggy Shammy to help eleviate those “Great it’s raining outside” or “Are you Kidding!! , the Labs are Soaked!” or “Hey Honey, I am going to use your towl to dry off the boys” LoL.

Lets give some of the Specs from Soggy Doggy Doormat and Shammy from the source:

The Tiny Water Absorbing Science

super-absorbent, durable, microfiber chenille!

Each of the “noodles” in the Soggy Doggy Doormat® and Soggy Doggy Super Shammy is made from millions of textured, ultrafine strands woven together, so the surface area of these products is much greater than meets the eye! The expansive surface area is the secret to microfiber chenille’s tremendous absorbing power and super-fast drying!

The microfiber chenille blend allows the Soggy Doggy Doormats® and Super Shammys to soak up water and dirt like a sponge! The doormats absorb 5x more water than regular cotton doormats and the Super Shammy can hold up to 7x its weight in water! The material is exceptionally hard-working and goes right in the washer and dryer! But the chenille also makes it velvety-soft and gentle under delicate paws and bellies.

I can vouch for the science indeed.

So what did we do with the Soggy Doggy Doormat and Shammy? We put it to the test. Brody and Saban recruited some of their LABbuddies to help out as well.

And testing they did. We brought it along on our foster walk with Labrador Friends of the South because we knew we would be in the Chattahoochee River at some point. As you can see, we were.

Now it was time to put the Soggy Doogy Shammy to the test:

Lets just say that it was a hit that day. We easily dried 3 or 4 dogs almost completely dry. Try that with a beach towel. And when we were done, we put the Soggy Doggy Doormat in the back of the jeep so they could lay on it on the way home.

When we got home we let the boys rest and then it was bath time. We had thrown our mat and shammy in the dryer so we would be all ready to go. Once out of the bath, soggy wet paws and fur ended up on the soggy doggy mat.

And when you need to put it up, easier as pie.

This product is awesome and a must have for any Labrador Family. The mat was perfect for all the ins and outs of potty breaks with all the rain we have been having. I could not imagine a lake home with out one in it or any home that has a Lab living there.  Heck it is even great to use on their human brothers and sisters.

That looks like a really cool product. But to use it as a rug I will have to wait quite a while. My 5 month old would chew it into teeny tiny bits. Just like she did to my door mat yesterday while I was in the bathroom!!

We have a Labrador and this looks a great product i live in the UK and was wondering could i still order them and what would the price be and shipping cost.

We have only used this as a rug before my two Labs and my roommates to med/large sized dogs come in from our backyard. I have definitely noticed that we don’t have as many paw prints on the floor with most rain storms.
