Wow! What can I say. Since launching It’s a Lab Thing™ in late May of 2012, I have been nothing but surprised and amazed at the response from all the LABfans out there. Who would have thought that in 6 months we would have grown to almost 36,000 fans on our Facebook page and have such an active and engaging Labrador society. It is truly flattering and we here at ILT is very appreciative and blessed to have fans like yourselves.
I guess I really need to thank the Labs, as if it were not for them we all would not be here. There is a reason why they are the #1 Breed and the list could wrap around the world several times. So I thought we could take a quick glimpse back at some of the pictures, products and posts that captivated us the most.

This is a picture I took at a Labrador Friends of the South adoption event for Ella’s Run. Scout, a Labrador Rescue and now Alumni, was meeting a purebred Lab. Here you can see that no matter what you are, there is a bond, an understanding that goes all the way to the core that a Lab is a Lab.
How hard is it to pick for this?? I love every picture, so I gauged it off of Likes.
LABmodel: Soto stole the show at the end of the year with 4,783 Likes and over 1k in shares! It is fair to say that his day in the snow made him top Lab on ILT.
How Life is Meant to be Spent was not far behind with 3k+ Likes and it is not hard to see why.
I really have to thank LABfan Dewayne, a dog trainer, for sending me some very awesome pictures of the Labradors and their handlers that are overseas doing what they do best. Protecting us, their fellow Soldiers and making our lives better. It’s a Lab Thing will always support the troops and soldiers of the USA and any country that serve to do good in the world.
This photo was submitted in the beginning days of ILT, but it rocked its way everywhere from Pinterest to other pages. But you saw it here first!!
Who could forget my Sweet Labrador Rescue Foster Crystal. I still miss her.

Stumbling upon Danny Williams was a dream. His pictures of Louie just reached out and grabbed me. So much so that I had to do a Premiere Showcase of Louie. I will say that since Louie there has been many other amateur photographers that have really phenomenal pictures and 2013 will be the year to really give them a chance to shine and display their talents. So keep them coming.

No Surprise here. Andy Biggar, aka “The Lab Photographer”, blew all our minds away with his images. Thank you to Labrador Retriever Rescue of Scotland for bringing my attention to him. Not only does Andy take phenomenal pictures, but he gives a lot of time to Labrador Rescues as well. ILT and Andy will be teaming up in 2013 to bring some new and exciting things to all the LABfans.
We are excited to add many more LABoratory Reviews for 2013!
So a Big thank you and we really look forward to what 2013 will bring to It’s a Lab Thing!! So KEEP SHARING THE LAB LOVE!!
